Why Chicks Dig The Frontman

Tight pants, dreamy eyes, intense emotion—oh. my.
Nope, not everyone gets to lead the band (and get all the girls) but with the right moves, you can zero in on what all the frenzy is about.  If you couldn’t sing you way out of a paper bag, there still might be hope. It’s all about the frontman’s swagger. Here’s the inside scoop of why chicks dig the frontman—and an exclusive inside peek at the center of the attraction.
All about Alpha: It’s pretty simple, says Wing Girl Kim, author of a dating guide for men called AlphaDog, Get The Bitch You Want: A Mans Guide to Dating, by a Woman. Women love alpha men. Why? Because instinctively, we are attracted to men who are able to lead their packs. It’s biological. The front man represents that alpha leader, though he only virtually leads.
Drama, mama: I’ve spent the last DECADE in love with a band front man, says style/beauty expert Aly Walansky and it’s from a local indie band no one’s ever heard of and I still have the drama.
It’s genetic! Women are attracted to the leader in any capacity, explains marriage therapist Melody Brooke,   The “frontman” appears (whether in reality or not) to be the leader, therefore the strongest person in the group. It’s a genetic predisposition we have to attracting the strongest mate to produce the best (most probability of success) offspring.

Killer confidence: According to Jean from Maryland: “Ladies like the frontman because he’s confident. You have to be to get that gig. Without a big ego, no need to apply. Confidence is sexy. Ladies like men who are confident, in charge and don’t forget a bit of a bad boy. My secret crush is Adam Levine of Maroon 5 – he’s all 3!â€
Holy hotness: My [not-so-secret] crush for years & years has been Adam Levine of Maroon 5, says Alexa, a public relations coordinator. “ His stage presence, voice, movements, and command of the audience is so incredibly sexy and masculine. I think he would stand out above the group even if he weren’t the frontman of the band!â€
Chemical attraction: Makeup artist  Jacki Wacki says: “I am in LOVE with Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance. He is just so darn cute and sexy. He has that cute, sexy, dirty rock-n-roll look that just drives me insane! And of course his music and singing is ridiculously good! Rrrrrrrrrr!!!!â€
What’s up, doc? Gals like the band frontman for sexuality and intense raw emotion, explains Dr. Fran Walfish, a Beverly Hills-based celebrity doctor and leading family psychotherapist. “Band frontmen are the ones who are comfortable emoting, gyrating, and pouring pure sexuality into their performances. It’s exciting and a turn-on to women. Often, the lead singer is good looking. Often, not. It doesn’t seem to matter as long as the other ingredients are there.â€

Secret swooner: “Music is passionate, and when the lead singer sings about his emotions, closes his eyes that way, and often sings about love, it can be one of those rare moments we get to see guys show their vulnerable side. They get lost in the music, and show us a side of their maleness we might not otherwise get to see. It always increases the sexiness when they are in leather jackets, too (or even better-leather pants!). The juxtaposition of hard rocker and soft sweetie is too much for some ladies to handle. Hard candy shell on the outside, sweet chocolate on the inside….”
